Privacy Policy

Posy ("Posy," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Pineapple Venture House LLC, a limited liability company organized in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Posy mobile application and related services (the "Service") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Posy, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run Posy:

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and name so we can sign you in and identify your account.
Profile details. Your username, profile photo, and any profile information you choose to add.
Your content. The lists and items you create, including names, notes, links, prices, and images you add; and the groups and circles you build.
Connections. The friends you add and the people you share lists with.
Messages. Messages you send to other people through Posy.
Search queries. When you search for gifts in Discover, your search terms are sent to our product-search provider to return shopping results.

We do not collect payment card details (Posy does not process payments inside the app), and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How we use your information

To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
To provide the core features of Posy — your lists, sharing, groups, messages, and Discover.
To show you and the people you choose the lists you've shared, while preserving the "surprise rule" (we never reveal to a list owner who reserved an item).
To respond to your support requests.
To keep the Service secure and to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How your information is shared

Your information is shared only in these limited ways:

With people you choose. When you share a list with a person, group, or via a share link, those people can see that list's contents. They never see your other lists.
With service providers. We use trusted providers to operate Posy, including Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage, hosted in the United States) and a product-search provider that powers Discover. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
For legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Posy, our users, or others.
In a business transfer. If Posy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Where your data is stored

Posy's data is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure provider in the United States. If you access Posy from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information and the content associated with it, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Your choices and rights

Access and update. You can view and edit your profile, lists, and groups at any time inside the app.
Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app, under Profile → Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, lists, items, groups, and messages. See our Support page for steps.
Contact us. You can ask us about the data we hold, or request deletion, by emailing us at the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information (such as the right to access, correct, or delete it). To exercise any of these, contact us at inversionesalbaluna@gmail.com.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and database-level access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to address vulnerabilities promptly.

Children

Posy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, notify you in the app.

What is Posy?

Posy is a gift-wishlist app. You keep lists of the things you'd love to receive, share each with exactly the right people, and find gifts for the people you love — all without spoiling the surprise.

What is the "surprise rule"?

When someone reserves an item on your list, you can see that it's reserved — but never who reserved it. The gift stays a surprise until you receive it.

How do I control who sees a list?

Open any list and tap "Who sees this list?" You can share it with anyone who has the link, with a group you've created, or lock it to a single person. People you share one list with never see your other lists.

How do I create a group or circle?

Go to your Profile and tap "New group." Name it (Family, Close friends, whatever fits), add the people you want, then point any list at that group.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Profile → Account, and choose to delete your account. This permanently removes your profile, lists, items, groups, and messages. If you have any trouble, email us at the address above and we'll help.

How is my data handled?

We collect only what's needed to run Posy and never sell your information. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
